This is the most comprehensive security ‘licensing’ course available covering the training required to apply for the Security Officer (Unarmed), Security Officer (Monitoring), Security Officer (Cash-in-Transit), Crowd Controller and Bodyguard Licence functions. First Aid training is also included! Our training program includes an introduction to the private security industry, legal studies, ethical standards, performance management, team work, communication skills, risk management, incident management, reporting, roles and responsibilities of each function, defensive techniques and first aid. This program incorporates a combination of theory and practice through presentations, group discussions, role plays and self paced learning.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this program, participants will be issued with a Certificate III in Security Operations, First Aid Certificate and may apply to the Office of Fair Training for a Security Providers Licence.
Prerequisites
Must be 18 years of age or older and have had no criminal convictions in previous 10 years to be eligible for a Security Providers Licence. Note. Driving offences (eg. speeding, drink driving, etc) are not normally disqualifying offences.
Licensing
The Office of Fair Trading charge $320.50 to apply for a Security Providers Licence and Criminal History Check. This is not included in the course fee. You cannot gain employment as a Security Officer or Crowd Controller until you have received your licence (approx 3 - 4 weeks after application).
Duration
Option 1 (Face-to-Face)
11 days in class. Classes are conducted from 8.45am to 4.30pm
Week 1 (Monday to Saturday) - Week 2 (Monday to Friday)
Option 2
(Distance Attend 3 days in class to complete the practical training/assessment
