Cash and other valuables escort services are in increasing demand as business owners acknowledge the reduced risk and increased effeciency of contracted Cash-in-Transit Specialists managing this task. The role of Cash-in-Transit Security Officers is diverse and includes both uniformed and plain clothes duties. Cash-in-Transit Security Officers may operate Unarmed for low risk tasks or Armed* for more valuable escorts.
Our training program includes an introduction to the Cash-in-Transit industry, legal studies, ethical standards, performance management, team work, communication skills, risk management, incident management, reporting, roles and responsibilities. This program incorporates a combination of theory and practice through presentations, group discussions, role plays and self paced learning.
SECURITY OFFICER (CASH-IN-TRANSIT)
TLID4107D Undertake cash-in-transit loading and unloading in an unsecured environment
TLIO807C Implement cash-in-transit security procedures
TLIO907C Test and inspect cash-in-transit security equipment
On successful completion of this program, participants will be provided with a Partial Certificate III in Security Operations (Statement of Attainment), and may apply to the Office of Fair Training to add the Security Officer (Cash-in-Transit) function to their Securiy Providers Licence.
Must have completed a Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations; OR
Hold a current Security Providers Licence
