Security Control Rooms and Monitoring Centres provide a number of essential services to the security industry including coordination of security officers and crowd controllers operating in the field, intruder alarm monitoring, duress alarm monitoring, fire alarm monitoring, CCTV monitoring, remote access control systems and coordination of emergency response / evacuations. They also operate as a central reporting location for record keeping.
Training includes the duties and responsibilities of a security control room operator, inspecting and maintaining monitoring equipment, use of monitoring equipment, identifying and responding to incidents, reporting and much more. This course is conducted as a group activity in a clssroom with case studies, role plays a written workbook and hands on use of monitoring equipment providing participants with the skills and knowledge needed to work effectively in a Securiy Control Room or Monitoring Centre.

On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and may apply to the Office of Fair Trading to add the Security Officer (Monitoring) function to your Security Providers Licence.
Must have completed a Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations; OR
Hold a current QLD Security Officer (Unarmed) Licence
This course is conducted face-to-face in 1 Day (8 Hours)
The cost of this course is $175
The Office of Fair Trading charge $56.00 to add a function to a Security Providers Licence plus $35.50 for a Criminal History Check (if it has not been completed within 3 months). This is not included in the course fee.
